GCSE Results - 2025

The Minster School is proud to celebrate another year of outstanding academic achievement, as 85% of students achieved a grade 4 or above in both English and Maths in their GCSEs. An incredible 30% of all grades awarded were a grade 7 or above—equivalent to a grade A or higher in the previous grading system—highlighting the exceptional performance of our students across a wide range of subjects.
This success builds on a highly successful set of post-16 results released last week, and exceptional Key Stage 2 outcomes in July, where every student met the expected standard in reading, writing, and maths—a remarkable achievement that showcases the strength and consistency of our all-through educational provision.
Head Teacher Mr Ben Chaloner commented:
“We are absolutely thrilled with this year’s GCSE results. They are a testament to the hard work of our students, the support of their families, and the unwavering commitment of our staff. These achievements reflect our school virtues—resilience, optimism, wisdom, kindness, and service—and our belief in ‘succeeding together’. We are especially excited to welcome so many students back into our Sixth Form in September, ready to take the next step in their educational journey.”
