English Language & Literature
Exam Board - OCR (A Level)
The nature of the course:
This course is ideal for students who enjoy many different aspects of English. Studying OCR English Language and Literature allows you to develop as a writer while exploring a variety of fiction and non-fiction texts in detail. This includes a classic and modern selection of novels, plays and a collection of poetry. There is also the chance to study quality fiction of your choice in preparation for two coursework pieces. The course is ideal for those who enjoy discussing writers’ ideas and methods in depth and who are keen to develop their own creative writing.
We are keen to extend our provision for students at Key Stage 5 in the English Department.
